About Shubham Nagota

I'm Shubham Nagota, AVP of Engineering at TransFi in Dubai. I own the architecture of a cross-border payments platform that processes $150M+ a month across 40+ countries and 250+ payment methods, and I lead engineering, QA, DevSecOps and security for its payins, payouts and stablecoin rails.

The platform has grown from $20M to $150M+ in monthly volume. Along the way I designed a composable payments API whose building blocks compose into 15 end-to-end flows, and shipped GenAI to production: DisplAI, an AI developer platform for client engineers, and the TransFi MCP server, which lets client teams and their AI agents integrate from their own tools.

Before TransFi I was a Senior Software Engineer at Reason Labs, where I moved the Online Security web app to Next.js and cut load time by 80%. Before that I spent three and a half years at BYJU'S as a Technical Architect, splitting a monolith into Kafka-based services for 2M+ active users. I started my career at Motorola Solutions, then worked at General Electric and Impact Analytics.

I studied Computer Science at Mahakal Institute of Technology in Ujjain (B.E., 2013 - 2017).

I still build things myself. Quiver, my set of everyday developer utilities, is open source, and I write about what I learn running payments infrastructure and putting AI into production.
